KETILEPT (aka Quetiapine, Seroquel) - is an antipsychotic agent (neuroleptic) that was developed to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (manic-depressive disorder), accompanied with hallucinations, thought disorder, hostility, suspiciousness, emotional and social exclusion. Quetiapine is an active substance of Ketilept, wich has a higher affinity for serotonin 5-HT2-receptor than for the dopamine D1- and D2-receptors. It works by blocking dopamine D2-receptors and thus reducing dopaminergic neurotransmission in the mesolimbic pathway. Read more about Quetiapine.
