GRANDAXIN (aka Tofisopam, Emandaxin, Seriel) - is an anxiolytic from the group of benzodiazepines (atypical benzodiazepine derivative). Grandaxin is used as a daytime tranquilizer. It provides anxiolytic effect that is not accompanied by a sedative, muscle relaxant or anticonvulsant action. Being a psycho-vegetative regulator Grandaxin reduces various forms of vegetative disorders. It can be used in patients with myopathy and myasthenia gravis. INDICATION FOR USE

  • Emotional stress
  • Autonomic Disorders
  • Fear and apathy
  • Post traumatic stress disorder
  • Chronic alcoholism, Alcohol withdrawal syndrome and delirium
  • Depression with moderately to severe psychopathological symptoms

GRANDAXIN DOSAGE

Grandaxin comes in the form of tablets. The active substance - tofizopam - 50 mg.
For oral administration.

Dosage: the dose is adjusted individually.
Adults: 50-100 mg, 1-3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 300 mg.
Children older than 14 years: 50-100 mg, 2 times /day. The maximum daily dose is 200 mg.
It is recommended not to take the drug after 15-16:00 hours.

GRANDAXIN SIDE EFFECTS:

  • Digestive tract: a decrease in appetite, constipation, flatulence, nausea, dry mouth.
  • Сentral nervous system: headache, insomnia, increased irritability, psychomotor agitation, confusion, convulsive seizures may occur in patients with epilepsy.
  • Allergic reactions: exanthema, scarlatina-like exanthema, pruritus.
  • Musculoskeletal system: muscle tension, muscle pain.
  • Respiratory system: respiratory depression.

GRANDAXIN CONTRAINDICATIONS 

  • Allergy to any of the components 
  • Acute respiratory failure
  • Sleep apnea
  • Coma in the past
  • If you are taking immuno-suppressive drugs (tacrolimus, sirolimus or cyclosporine) because of organ transplant surgery
